§ 1047-6. Implementation.

The Suffolk County Police Department is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed, pursuant to Article XIII of the Suffolk County Charter, to implement the Amber Alert Plan established under § 837-f(14) of the New York Executive Law every time any individual under the age of 18, within the County of Suffolk, is confirmed to be missing, except in those instances in which the Commissioner of the Suffolk County Police Department determines that the release of information under such plan would jeopardize the investigation or the safety of the child.
