§ 12-2. Refrigerant conservation devices required.

A. 

Any air-conditioning system installed on County-owned or County-leased property on or after the effective date of this chapter shall be equipped with refrigerant conservation devices on the relief line designed to divert any escaping gases into a holding tank rather than into the air.

B. 

In those instances in which air-conditioning systems are to be installed pursuant to an agreement with a private individual, firm or company that has contracted with the County of Suffolk to manage a County property or to lease a property to the County of Suffolk, such requirement shall be made a provision of said contract or lease, and the failure to comply with such provision shall be deemed a breach of said contract or lease for which the County of Suffolk may collect liquidated damages as set forth in said contract or lease.
